Labor Day Route Changes

Envirco customers are reminded that there is no collection on Monday, 9/7/20, due to the observance of Labor Day. All routes, except Friday route, will be delayed one day the week of September 7, 2020.


Route changes are as follows due to the holiday:

  • MONDAY routes will be collected on Tuesday, 9/8/2020
  • TUESDAY routes will be collected on Wednesday, 9/9/2020
  • WEDNESDAY routes will be collected Thursday, 9/10/2020 along with bulky goods
  • THURSDAY routes will be collected Friday, 9/11/2020
  • FRIDAY routes will remain on Friday, 9/11/2020

FREE Pesticide Drop Off Event 8/15/2020

The WV Department of Agriculture in cooperation with the Region VIII Solid Waste Authority, the WV Farm Bureau and the Grant County Commission will offer a free pesticide waste collection event on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at the Tri-County Fairgrounds in Petersburg, WV from 9:00am to 3:00pm.

Acceptable items are anything classified as a pesticide, including: insecticides, herbicides, rodenticides, fungicides, bactericides, larvicides, aerosol cans containing wasp and hornet sprays, weed and feed products and cancelled pesticides that are no longer available in stores.

Household hazardous wastes will NOT be accepted.  Only pesticides will be accepted.  You must be a WV resident to participate in this program.

Landfill Surcharge Effective 7/1/2020

On July 10, 2020 the West Virginia Public Service Commission (WV PSC) granted Envirco Inc a Tariff Rule 30E (pass-through) landfill surcharge for all accounts effective July 1, 2020 due to the Tucker County Solid Waste Authority being granted a tonnage increase of $5.80 per ton effective June 5, 2020 but was not implemented until July 1, 2020, refer to WV PSC Case No. 19-1163-SWF-42A.  Envirco Inc’s Tariff Rule 30E WV PSC Case Nos. are  20-0471-MC-30E, 20-0472-MC-30E and 20-0473-MC-30E.  Therefore, Envirco billings are changing as follows:

RESIDENTIAL ACCOUNTS:  All residential accounts are subject to a monthly $0.56 landfill surcharge, which is subject to the current fuel surcharge, beginning July 1, 2020.

Residential statements dated 7/29/20 for established accounts prior to 7/1/2020 will include:

$0.56 for JULY Landfill Surcharge

$0.02 for JULY Fuel Surcharge 2.95%

$21.70    August Base Rate

$  0.56    August Landfill Surcharge

$  0.66    August Fuel Surcharge 2.95%

Effective July 1, 2020, the total residential monthly charge is $22.92.

COMMERCIAL ACCOUNTS:  All commercial accounts will show an increase of 0.68% effective July 1, 2020.

INDUSTRIAL ACCOUNTS:  All industrial accounts will reflect the pass-through amount on the tonnage rates only.

REMINDER:  Effective July 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020, or until further Commission order, the WV PSC Fuel Surcharge decreased to 2.95% from 5.72%.

GRANT Co Collecting Friday 7/3/20 Due to Truck Issues

ATTENTION GRANT COUNTY CUSTOMERS:  A truck hydraulic issue which occurred on the route today 7/2/2020 around 9:30am has prevented Envirco from completing today’s Grant County routes.  These routes have been rescheduled for TOMORROW, Friday, 7/3/2020.  Effected customers:  please have your solid waste out for collection by 6:00am on FRIDAY, JULY 3, 2020.  We apologize for the inconvenience while we complete the necessary truck repairs.

RECYCLING Resuming August 1, 2020

Whew!  Thank you for your patience!  Envirco will be resuming recycling as of Saturday, August 1, 2020.  Drop-off Recycling Schedule will be the same.  Please limit and/or spread out recyclables over the next several months to ensure we have the capacity to handle materials for all customers.
